Vaibhav Suryavanshi, India’s teen cricket star, reached another stunning point in his growing career on Friday, December 26, 2025, when he received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar — one of the highest civilian awards for children — from President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
The 14-year-old cricket prodigy from Bihar was acknowledged in the sports category for his unbelievable accomplishments in cricket, which have drawn the attention of the whole country and broken the records for quite a time now.
Suryavanshi’s journey to superstardom has been nothing less than amazing. He made a breathtaking knock of 190 runs in just 84 balls during the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, and he hit the boundaries with 16 fours and 15 sixes — he became the youngest player in men’s List A history to score a century and crumbled the records that had been there for quite a time in the format. His blazing innings consisted of reaching the hundred mark in just 36 balls and breaking AB de Villiers’ record for the fastest 150 in List A cricket by 11 balls.
Suryavanshi has been in the limelight in the Indian Premier League by becoming the youngest player to score a century and by exhibiting his remarkable power in batting which has impressed the entire crowd and experts alike.
